Mont Saint-Michel


Description: Mont Saint-Michel is a rocky tidal island in Normandy, France at the mouth of the Couesnon River. The island accomodates a word famous Gothic-style Benedictine abbey dedicated to the archangel St Michael, and the village that grew up beneath its walls. It became an UNESCO world heritage site in 1979. The island is an extremely popular tourist destination welcoming more than three million visitors a year.

Millau Viaduct


Description: The Millau Viaduct is a large cable-stayed road-bridge that spans the valley of the River Tarn near Millau in southern France. It is the tallest vehicular bridge in the world, with one pier's summit at 343 m, which is taller than the Eiffel Tower. The viaduct is the crown jewel of the A75 highway.
